Required fields & Recipient routing
Mark supported fields as required so a recipient cannot submit while their assigned required fields remain incomplete.
When sending to multiple people, assign fields to specific recipients. The signing workflow restricts recipients to fields assigned to them or designated as shared.
Check the file, fields, and ownership before sending
Start with the approved version of the document, exported as a PDF. Review every rendered page after upload: page breaks, fonts, signatures, and schedules should match the source. The editor positions a workflow layer over the PDF; it does not correct the wording underneath or decide whether that version was authorised.
Assign every field to the intended recipient and use required status only where an answer is genuinely necessary. A required field prevents submission while that assigned field is empty, but it cannot tell whether the response is accurate. Check that fields do not cover terms or overlap one another, especially on smaller pages.
